ProCell Microchanneling in Ocala

Advanced skin rejuvenation from a certified ProCell Therapies provider. Private appointments, licensed esthetician, real results.

What is ProCell Microchanneling?

ProCell Microchanneling is one of the most effective professional skin rejuvenation treatments available, and Vivid Beauty Studio is one of a small number of licensed estheticians in Ocala certified to offer it. Whether you are dealing with fine lines, acne scarring, uneven texture, stretch marks, or skin that has just lost some of its firmness over time, this treatment works by triggering your body’s own repair process to rebuild from the inside out.

The results are gradual and cumulative, which means they are also lasting. Most clients see meaningful improvement after two to three sessions and continue improving over the weeks that follow each treatment. A consultation is included with your first appointment so the treatment plan is tailored specifically to what your skin needs.

How ProCell Microchanneling Works

The treatment works in two stages that complement each other.

Stage 1: Creating the Channels

A handheld device with fine, sterile tips creates thousands of tiny microchannels in the surface of the skin using a precise linear stamping motion. These channels are microscopic and controlled. The skin registers them as minor injuries and responds by sending its own repair mechanisms to the surface, including collagen, elastin, and growth factors.

This is the same principle behind many professional skin treatments, but ProCell’s stamping method creates even, consistent channels with minimal discomfort and significantly less downtime than traditional microneedling.

Stage 2: The Serum

Immediately after the channels are created, a ProCell serum containing bone marrow-derived growth factors and hyaluronic acid is applied directly to the skin. The open channels allow the serum to absorb deeply rather than sitting on the surface, which is where the real results come from.

Think of it this way: the microchanneling is the exercise, and the serum is the nutrition that makes the work pay off. One without the other produces results. Both together produce significantly better ones.

Your body already knows how to repair skin. Microchanneling gives it the signal to start.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Before Your Appointment

For the best results, avoid retinol, exfoliating acids, and strong active ingredients for three to five days before your appointment. Come in with clean skin and no makeup. If you have had any recent cosmetic procedures, injectable treatments, or sunburn, let us know when you book so we can plan the right timing.

During Your Appointment

Your first appointment includes a brief consultation to assess your skin and discuss your goals. The treatment itself typically takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on the area. The stamping sensation is mild and most clients are comfortable throughout without numbing cream, though numbing is available on request for sensitive areas.

The serum is applied immediately after the treatment while the channels are open. Your skin may look pink or flushed when you leave, which is completely normal and typically settles within a few hours.

After Your Appointment

Avoid applying anything to your skin for at least 90 minutes after treatment. After that, you can resume your regular skincare routine using the recommended ProCell aftercare products. Avoid strong active ingredients, exfoliants, and retinol for several days until your skin has fully settled.

Stay out of direct sun and avoid heat, heavy sweating, and steam rooms for 24 to 48 hours. Most clients can return to normal activities the same day.

If you are doing a series of treatments, your esthetician will advise on timing between sessions and whether to hold off on stronger skincare products until the series is complete.

ProCell Microchanneling vs Traditional Microneedling

Both treatments use the same core principle: controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the skin’s repair process. The technique, comfort level, and recovery time are meaningfully different.

ProCell Microchanneling Questions

If something is not covered here, text us at (352) 470-0880 before you book.

What is ProCell Microchanneling?

ProCell Microchanneling is a professional skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a handheld device to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin’s surface. These channels trigger the skin’s natural healing response, stimulating collagen and elastin production. When combined with ProCell’s growth factor serums, which are applied immediately after the treatment, the result is improved skin texture, tone, and firmness over a series of sessions.

The core principle is the same, but the technique is different in meaningful ways. ProCell uses a linear stamping method that creates even, consistent channels with minimal discomfort and very little downtime. Traditional microneedling uses a rolling motion that can create irregular channels and typically requires five to seven days of recovery. ProCell is also suitable for all skin types and tones, including clients who are not good candidates for traditional microneedling.

Most clients find the treatment comfortable without numbing cream. The sensation during treatment is typically described as mild pressure or a light scratching feeling. Numbing cream is available on request if you have sensitive skin or are treating a more sensitive area. Afterward, your skin may feel tight and look pink for a few hours, which is normal.

It depends on what you are treating. For general skin rejuvenation and mild concerns, clients often see good results after two to three sessions. For more significant concerns like acne scarring, stretch marks, or loose skin, a series of six or more sessions is typically recommended. Your esthetician will give you a specific recommendation during your consultation based on your skin and goals.

Many clients notice an initial improvement in skin quality within 24 to 48 hours of their first treatment. More significant results develop over the following weeks as collagen production increases. After two to three sessions, most clients notice a visible difference in texture and firmness. Results continue to improve for several weeks after each treatment, which is part of what makes the treatment effective over a series.

For best results, yes. The microchanneling creates open channels that allow the ProCell serum to absorb deeply into the skin immediately after treatment. This is when the serum is most effective. The growth factors in the serum support and extend the repair process that the treatment triggers. Think of the microchanneling as the exercise and the serum as the nutrition that makes it pay off. Skipping the serum produces results, but combining them produces significantly better ones.

ProCell’s Microchannel Delivery Serum contains bone marrow-derived growth factors and hyaluronic acid, both of which are naturally occurring in the human body. The serum contains no foreign or synthetic ingredients. It has been in professional use for over a decade with a strong safety record.

ProCell Microchanneling works for all skin types and tones, including sensitive skin and skin prone to breakouts. Clients with active acne can typically undergo the treatment without risk of worsening the condition or causing hyperpigmentation. It is a good option for anyone looking to address the concerns listed above without the downtime of more aggressive treatments.

Microchanneling is not recommended for clients who are currently pregnant or nursing, undergoing active cancer treatment, have uncontrolled diabetes, or have a chronic skin disease affecting the area to be treated. Clients with a known allergy to stainless steel should also avoid the treatment.

If you have any concerns about whether the treatment is appropriate for you, please consult your healthcare provider before booking. We are happy to answer questions and help you determine whether to proceed.

Yes. Redness, mild flushing, and a feeling of tightness are normal responses to microchanneling, especially after the first session or two. These typically settle within a few hours. Avoid applying anything to your skin for the first 90 minutes after treatment. After that, use only the recommended ProCell aftercare products and avoid strong actives or exfoliants until your skin has fully settled, usually within a few days.

For face and body treatments, sessions should be spaced at least four weeks apart to allow the skin’s repair process to complete between appointments. For scalp treatments, sessions can be spaced one week apart. Your esthetician will give you a specific schedule recommendation based on the area being treated and the results you are working toward.

Yes. Vivid Beauty Studio is a certified ProCell Therapies provider. ProCell certification requires specific training in the treatment protocol, device use, and serum application. It is not a treatment that every esthetician or salon offers. If you are comparing providers, ask whether the person performing your treatment is certified directly by ProCell Therapies.
